I just received several rolls of expired film. Most of it expired in '64-'65. I have heard a few times that you should overexpose by 1 stop for every 10 years past expiry. Does anyone else have experience shooting film this old? What had been your experience? (Nevermind the Kodachrome, I know the story with that.)

I’ve shot t-max from the 80s and tri-x from the 70s before and both times the film was really foggy. since your film is over 50 years old it probably wouldn’t hurt to overexpose by 3-4 stops I‘ve found the 10 year rule to not always be accurate, but it’s a good starting point if you have multiple rolls of the same film.
